CCTV specialist AD Group is sponsoring the ambitious 'Vulcan to the Sky' project designed to return an original Vulcan V-bomber to flight and allow the majestic delta-wing design to once again wow the crowds at public air displays. As part of its support for the project, AD Group plans to supply a state-of-the-art FlightVu digital video recorder - and associated CCTV cameras - from its subsidiary AD Aerospace to provide valuable in-flight footage of this historic aircraft.  (more)

Cockpit Door Monitoring Systems

Austrian Airlines AG, the Austrian flag carrier, has selected AD Aerospace to supply Cockpit Door Monitoring Systems (CDMS) for its fleet of six Boeing 767 aircraft. Austrian which has always been in the forefront of aircraft safety has opted for the CabinVu-123 system which has less LRUs, lower weight and simplified installation over earlier systems. The system gives pilots greatly improved situational awareness with a clear view of any activity outside the cockpit door and in the adjacent galleys thus improving aircraft safety and security. (more)

bmibaby, one of the UK’s largest low fares airlines, has again selected AD Aerospace to supply Cockpit Door Monitoring System for its B737 aircraft. This time bmibaby has opted for the CabinVu-123 system which has less LRUs, lower weight and simplified installation over earlier systems. The pilots will experience increased situational awareness with a clear and unrestricted view of any activity in the area outside the cockpit door and in the adjacent galleys thus improving aircraft security. (more)

Aircraft is for Iron Maiden 2008 World Tour

Astraeus, part of Northern Travel Holdings, has chosen AD Aerospace to supply FlightVu camera systems for four B757 aircraft. One of the aircraft is being used by the rock band Iron Maiden for its Somewhere Back in Time World Tour 2008, and will have a combined passenger cargo configuration with five FlightVu cameras proving the pilots with views outside the cockpit and into the cargo area. The other three aircraft will have standard CabinVu cockpit door monitoring systems, to give their pilots improved situational awareness by providing a clear view of activity outside the cockpit and in the adjacent galleys. (more)
